Provide consultation and transactional brokerage services for Hartford Public Schools and the City of Hartford municipal offices, including representing and advising the City on various real estate solutions for their Constitutional Plaza municipal offices in Downtown Hartford.

Notable Achievements

2010: Represented the Board of Education on lease transaction for their home office and print-shop at 960 Main Street, Hartford, CT (66,000 SF Lease)

2015: Represented Hartford Public Schools for the for “High School Inc.” magnet School at 275 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT (35,278 SF lease)

2016: Represented Hartford Public Schools on a renewal transaction for their home office at 960 Main Street, Hartford, CT (62,000 SF Lease)

2016-2018: Representing the City in negotiations for their Constitution Plaza offices (52,000 SF Lease). Principal Tom York advised the City of Hartford (“the City”) on a lease renewal/space reduction plan. The City’s executed a lease for 80,000 SF lease in 2001 for various departments including the Department of Development Services at 250 and 260 Constitution. With the leases expiring, the City engaged GOMAN+YORK to analyze and identify opportunities to more efficiently and effectively utilize owned their real estate. The process included a review of existing leases, departments, adjacencies, space programming and lease negotiations. As a result, the City was able to reduce their leased premises at Constitution Plaza by 40% and their overall annual rental expense by 55% due to negotiated base rental reductions.
