Coworking is changing the way that people work
And for good reason. Coworking facilitates productivity, innovation and community in a way that traditional working environments simply don’t. In cities like San Francisco and New York, coworking spaces are like Starbucks, you seem to be able to find one on every corner. Here in our home state of Connecticut, we have quite a few coworking spaces that are bringing both creativity and coffee to the Nutmeg State. And hey, at a coworking space, the coffee is free.
Here are a few worth checking out
- WeHa Works, is a fun, funky office space located at the Fathom offices in the heart of West Hartford Center.
- Upward Hartford, located in the capital city is “building a community and a space where ideas can be born, projects can launch, and connections can be made”.
- The Grove in New Haven is awesome space is where art and innovation meet functional collaborative office space. Located walking distance from many of the Elm City’s great bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
- The B:Hive in Bridgeport. If you are in need of inspiration, motivation, a good laugh, or a good time, check it out. Never heard of it? Watch this video. You’re welcome.
These are just a few of the spaces around the state that offer flexible work space, opportunities to engage with like-minded professionals over free coffee, and maybe even a beanbag chair or game of ping-pong.
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things.” – Steve Jobs
